Metal ceiling panels, usually aluminum or steel, lay into or clip onto a grid. They resist sagging in humidity, are easy to clean, and can be perforated with acoustic backing to absorb sound. Aluminum resists corrosion, which makes it a good fit for humid and coastal buildings where standard mineral fiber tiles struggle.

FAQ
Yes. Metal panels do not absorb moisture and resist sagging, and aluminum resists corrosion. Paired with galvanized or aluminum grid, they hold up well in humid rooms and near salt air.
It can. Standard painted steel grid can rust in salt air, especially in bayfront and island buildings and in rooms that stay damp. Near the water we use hot-dipped galvanized grid, grid with aluminum caps or all-aluminum systems, depending on how exposed the building is. More on corrosion-resistant T-bar grid.
